COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives – and we’re changing our services to continue to provide you high-quality orthopedic, pain management, sports medicine, and podiatry care.
We know “Safer at Home” doesn’t stop your pain, arthritis, or orthopedic injuries so, we’re offering Doxy.me for virtual medical visits to serve you better. It’s safe, convenient, and easy to use. To get started, you need to make a virtual appointment.
Set up your appointment by calling 800-445-6442 and request your virtual visit with a Bone & Joint provider.
After your request, Bone & Joint will send you a confirmation message with all the details, including a Doxy.me link you can use to sign-in for your appointment. In this period of social distancing, it’s the next best thing to going to your provider’s office.
If you have an Internet connection and a smartphone or a computer running Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome, you can connect with your provider through Doxy.me.
On the day of your appointment, your provider will send you a text message or email with a link to check-in for your appointment.
If this is your first virtual visit, Doxy.me will ask permission to use the camera and microphone on your device so you can see, hear, and talk to your provider. After you give Doxy.me permission to access your computer’s audio-visual system, you will enter a virtual waiting room. The program will tell your provider you have arrived for your appointment. When it’s time, your provider will start the session.
With Doxy.me, there’s no reason for you to leave your home. You don’t have to worry about sitting in a crowded waiting room with other people – especially in this time of social distancing.
Of course, there are differences between a virtual appointment and an in-person visit. We won’t be able to take your temperature, blood pressure, or do a physical examination.
But some things are the same.
You can talk with your health care provider in real-time, just as you would at an in-person appointment. You can tell your provider about your symptoms, condition, medications, and any challenges you’re facing – right from the comfort of your own home.
If you live with another person and a physical exam is necessary, your provider may ask that person to help.
After our community is safe from the COVID-19 pandemic, you can resume normal in-person visits to your provider (if you choose) but until then, our providers can see you remotely for things such as follow-up visits, check-ups, and check-ins.
We’ve been investigating telemedicine for a while now – the recent COVID-19 pandemic prompted us to fast-track this technology in order to keep you, our community, and our staff as safe as possible and still offer you high-quality orthopedic care.
Telemedicine is like a modern-day house call. It’s a secure video chat that complies with all of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules. You control who knows about your condition and your medical care.
In this age of social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is one of the safest ways to take care of you and make sure you stay as healthy as possible.
Yes. All visits and patient information are secure and compliant with the HIPAA rules.
We care about your health and well-being. You can make a Doxy.me telehealth appointment for things such as:

• Shoulder, wrist, knee, and ankle concerns
• Pain management follow-up and consultation
• Low back pain
• Arthritis pain and mobility issues
• Worker's compensation consultation
Bone & Joint is dedicated to providing you with the best care possible, while being safe and convenient.
