Adam L. Halverson, DOBone & Joint is pleased to introduce orthopedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist, Adam L. Halverson, DO, to their team of orthopedic providers.

Dr. Halverson provides comprehensive and conservative care to people of all ages who have injuries or illnesses affecting their lower legs, feet, or ankles. He provides general orthopedic care and treats fractures, bunions, flat feet, and hammertoes.

Dr. Halverson’s surgical expertise includes arthroscopy of the knee and ankle, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, total ankle and knee replacement, fusions in the foot and ankle, limb preservation, ligament reconstruction, nerve decompression, cartilage restoration in the knee, foot, and ankle, and Achilles tendon repair and reconstruction.

“My goal is to help each person reduce their pain and improve movement,” said Dr. Halverson. “I want to know each patient’s needs and expectations as I help them understand their condition and treatment options. Then together, we can develop the best plan to get them where they need to be.”

Dr. Halverson earned his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his residency at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine-Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He also completed his Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Westerville, Ohio.

Dr. Halverson is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is also on track to become a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Halverson has orthopedic operating privileges at Aspirus Hospital.

Outside of the office, Dr. Halverson spends time with his young family. He enjoys fishing, boating, hiking, biking, gardening, and exploring Wisconsin. He also enjoys pottery, tying flies, and woodworking.
