Remember the excitement of getting ready for the first day of school as you filled your backpack with new notebooks, pencils and glue sticks?
Sadly, some children in our area won't have access to new school supplies without our help.
That's why Bone & Joint has become a designated school supply drop-off site for the United Way and community organizations in Lincoln, Marathon, Portage and Taylor counties.
Won't you join us?
It's easy. Purchase one or more of the items listed below and bring them to a Bone & Joint waiting room in Medford, Merrill, Plover, and Wausau. The collection will begin Tuesday, August 1 and conclude Thursday, August 10, 2017.
If you don't have time to go shopping, no problem. We're also accepting cash donations. At the end of the drive, funds received at each Bone & Joint location will be used to purchase additional school supplies for students in the surrounding community.
You can make a difference in the life of a child by donating a few school supplies to local organizations.
Taylor County is conducting their annual Fill-A-Bus School Supply Drive. To ensure children receive the necessary school supplies, the United Way assigns businesses in the area specific items to collect.
