Meet Dr. Kulpreet Sahota

Providers, Pain Management, Neck and Back Pain

Kulpreet Sahota, MD, FAAPMR

Kulpreet Sahota, MD, FAAPMR, joined Bone & Joint in 2010. She is a fellowship trained, board-certified pain management specialist.

Dr. Sahota diagnoses and manages musculoskeletal pain disorders, including the treatment of back and neck pain, pinched nerves, and sciatica pain. She also treats chronic pain caused by arthritis, myofascial, central, and complex regional pain syndromes, headaches, migraine, and low back injuries. Dr. Sahota cares for people suffering from muscle and nerve spasms, spinal disc ruptures, and sacroiliac joint pain.

To diagnose the cause of her patient’s pain, Dr. Sahota uses electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS), ultrasound and X-rays. Depending on the type and cause of a patient’s pain, Dr. Sahota prescribes physical therapy, Botox injections, percutaneous tenotomy, or Tenex, platelet-rich plasma (PRP). In other instances, Dr. Sahota uses spinal cord stimulation, spinal epidural steroid injections, spinal radiofrequency ablation, medial branch blocks, stem cell injections, or steroid joint injections to resolve her patient's pain.

Dr. Sahota received her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, in Newark, New Jersey. She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sahota completed her Interventional Spine & Pain Management fellowship with  Performance Spine & Sports Physicians in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sahota is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is a member of the International Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Pain Society, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

“I like to talk to my patients and learn more about their pain,” said Dr. Sahota. “Then we try targeted physical therapy and conservative treatment. If the patient’s condition does not improve, we talk about our options for interventional pain management procedures.”

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Sahota enjoys snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, road biking, and spending time with her family.

If pain keeps you from daily activities, call Bone & Joint at 800.445.6442 and make an appointment with Dr. Sahota.
