Arthroscopic Surgery

Arthroscopic surgery (arthroscopy) is a vitally important technique that allows our surgeons to better evaluate and treat joint disorders. It has a tremendous advantage over traditional surgery. Done as an outpatient procedure, there’s less surgery time and patients recover quicker—often with better results.

By using a sophisticated fiber optic camera and digital imaging, the entire inside of a joint can be visualized for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Arthroscopy is most commonly used for cartilage or ligament injuries of the knee or rotator cuff disease of the shoulder. In many cases arthroscopy has eliminated the use of more invasive surgical techniques. All Bone & Joint surgeons are proficient in arthroscopic surgery.
